I would like to dump a bunch of jpegs into a folder and send the link to the folder so everyone can see a bunch of files.

Currently, it says this is Forbidden.

However, I changed the permission for the folder i created to 644 and 755 and neither worked.

Am i suppose to wait before these changes take effect or am i just doing something wrong? thanks for the info

btw, I should note that im using the free hosting service. Shouldnt make a diff does it?

And before anyone flames, I'm holding out for any specials around september before signing up for a real plan.

thanks for the reply.

worked like a charm.

I dont suppose you know of a more automated method, huh? I'd like to get in the .conf file and stick that +Indexes command in there. =)

You could modify the httpd.conf file and make it so.

Just replace -Indexes with +Indexes
at the wanted directory directives.

That would make all directories without a index.xxxx file have indexes, and to disable you would do the reverse in the .htaccess files.

I have it set so that I can modify indexes using the virtual httpd.conf customisation feature, works nicely. You could try that.

Matt :)
