    mod_sftp logging

I recently installed mod_sftp as per the instructions from DA: http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=439

However, I noticed that proftpd doesn't log the IP addresses of failed/invalid login attempts via sftp. Is there a way to do this?

For reference, here are the log locations:
    /var/log/proftpd/sftp.log (this one is new)
    /var/log/proftpd/auth.log

    Thanks

I dunno what did you find by searching on the proftpd site.

Couldn't really find anything on proftpd's site about logging. At least not for mod_sftp.

So that basically means SFTPLog was already set. The problem is that it doesn't log user IP addresses and failed/invalid logins. There doesn't seem to be a LogFormat for mod_sftp

e: Ignore this thread, I'm a dummy. They still showed up in the security log!

    Look at this then:

    http://www.proftpd.org/docs/directiv...tendedLog.html

Maybe you can wrap it with an <IfModule line to make it work the way you want.

If it still isnt what you want then you can post on:
