do you need to update other software installed by DA or ?

do i need to keep track of other software update? once you install DA on the new server, DA will install everything for you so...if there is a new version of say ftp server, if i install the new version of proftpd, would it break DA?

when you update DA, does DA also updat other software? like my ftp example, if i install the newer version of DA will it also update the Proftpd...etc.

You should update manually everything EXCEPT this list:

httpd* bind* mysql* php* perl* apache* mod_* MySQL* *ftp* exim* sendmail* php* da_* webalizer* da_exim*


Items in that list should be upgraded through the customapache system, or via built in scripts
