SquirrelMail Error - Unable to get anything but error messages.

Hello,

I have a new server running DirectAdmin, and so I went through the steps to activate SpamAssassin.

I can not seem to log into SquirrelMail from any mail accounts.

All I get is an error:

SquirrelMail version 1.4.5
By the SquirrelMail Project Team
ERROR
Error connecting to IMAP server: localhost.
111 : Connection refused



I am able to use UebiMiau and can also use external email clients to get the email.

I thought there may have been a problem with SpamAssassin, so I sent myself juck mail to test it and it seems to work fine.

I do not have this problem on another server running version 1.4.4 of SquirrelMail, and so I am very confused.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Either IMAP isn't working, or you've got it firewalled it off.

What OS distribution are you running?

What happens when you log into a shell account and try:

I went ahead and installed APF Firewall made sure the port was open and now SM is able to connect to the DB.
