Directadmin Update

I am trying to update directadmin through Licencing/Updates and I am getting : "Your request for an update will begin in under a minute. You should be notified via the Message system when it is complete" but nothing happens...
 
It does it in the background and then emails you and creates a new message in the message area that it is done. There is no visual progress or anything.

It does not take very long either.
 
I am waiting for 6 hours and i haven't received the message. Is there any log file which i can see what happens?
 
The message system should inform you of either success or failure. If that's not working for you then you probably should write to DA support.
