exim + ClamAv - Why use mailscanner

ClamAV is only called in the latest SpamBlocker3 exim.conf file, which was written long after the first mailscanner posts were made to these forums.

Is the SpamBlocker3 exim.conf file out of beta testing yet? If so, can you upgrade from the DirectAdmin server and what's the best way to install ClamAV to work with the new exim.conf file?
 
No, it's still in beta, and will be for a few more weeks as we're testing some more changes to it, to avoid having to come out with SpamBlocker4 almost immediately.

The install is completely manual. If you visit the download site here you'll see the answers to your other questions :) .
