URGENT: Unable to Connect/Connection Refused

OK, big problem. I just restarted my VPS, and now, I can't connect to DirectAdmin at all through my IP or domains!

In Firefox, I keep getting the generic "Problem loading page: unable to connect" and when I try to telnet to it in PuTTY, I get a "Connection Refused" error.

There's nothing wrong with my firewalls, I already flushed my IP tables, and I can access my actual domains (ie, theviperfiles.com and macinyasha.net) but when I try to go to 194.169.192.84:2222 I still get the Unable to connect message.

I've tried rebooting my VPS multiple times, and I've also tried restarting DirectAdmin to no avail, and instead I get this:

[root@viperps /]# /etc/init.d/directadmin stop
Stopping DirectAdmin: [FAILED]
[root@viperps /]# /etc/init.d/directadmin start
Starting DirectAdmin: [ OK ]

But still, no dice.

The weird thing is, in HyperVM's Port Monitor, it says that the DA port (2222) is good. But... it still won't work!

If someone could PLEASE help me on this, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Here's the whole thing:

Ha! One of those links you gave me DID work! Here's what I found out:

Apparently, after modifying the directadmin.conf file to NOT use SSL, the ownership permissions got screwed up! Found that out by running this:
Code:
[root@viperps ~]# cd /usr/local/directadmin
[root@viperps directadmin]# ./directadmin
Unable to read config file. Unable to open /usr/local/directadmin/conf/directadmin.conf for reading.

Segmentation fault

After that, I just went in through HyperVM, changed the permissions to 777 and it works fine now, and once again I can reach my DA login page! Huzzah!

Thank you for your help!

mine are all diradmin:diradmin 600

so there might be another issue maybe.
