Default e-mail

Hi,

I have setup a second DA server running centos 5.1, which is svrname.domain.com and all messages, the server is sending mails to [email protected], is there anywhere i can change this so it defaults to [email protected], possibly some sort of send mail or forwarder setup...

I looked in DA control panel, but as i dont have a domain assigned to the server i cant setup a forwarder at the moment...

I will also be linking this server to the first DA machine, i have 2 others which i will be leaving unlinked for the moment.

you can set up a forward file inside your /root directory.

sorry for being dumb but.... how does that work?

login as root

when you are in your root folder

nano .forward

write down your email address where all root mail will go

ctrl+x , y

you're done!

Is that a default email on a DA server? If so, where does it forward to? If not, how do you create it?

as for mine, i still see cron job run and email send out from [email protected]

is there some places to change all?

You should probably set up an aliases file in the user's home directory.

For root, that's /root; for admin it's /home/admin.
