I don't recall the answer to this and I don't have time to check by trying. I need to move all sites to a different server for a client now.

Some of the sites are owned by admin's user level.

When I restore an admin reseller I remember that it does change the password for admin, but I don't remember if it simply adds the sites being restored or overwrites some file so that sites on the new machine but not on the old are somehow erased.

Anyone know?

Thanks.

Jeff

[Insert standard disclaimer here]

It has been my experience that it will not do anything with domains and databases that already exist UNLESS the backup contains domains and databases that are named the same thing. It should not delete data simply because it does not exist in the backup.

Make a backup on the new machine as well just in case.

Thanks to both of you.

Floyd... I think I'll try your way. I believe it does work that way.

littleoak... I'll use your way only if I have to, because there are databases involved.

Thanks again to both of you.

Jeff
