add domain or alias/pointer limitation to 'real' users?

I'm using the API to add domains, alias / pointers to user accounts from our backoffice / order system.

Is it possible to limit a 'real' user-account so the user is not able to add a domain or alias/pointer through directadmin?

You set those settings when you add the user. You can limit the amount of things.

Yes i know you can limit is at user creation but if you use the API to add a pointer it will fail because the users limit is reached.
