Create resellers and users

Hey guys, I was read the directadmin api docu and I had a problem with the command CMD_ACCOUNT_RESELLER...

This command requires a parameter called ip and it can contains three values (shared, sharedreseller or assign), what is the difference? and how i can use this command? i need to pass the ip number or just the string 'shared'??
