Deleted logs causing DirectAdmin problems?

The other day I deleted the all logs in /var/logs on my system. Now Bandwidth Details is not showing the number of sent emails from users on that box. The Apache and DirectAdmin lines have updated, but not the email lines.

Is there something I have to do to get it working again?

If you deleted everything in /var/log then im sure you have a mess on your hands. You have to recreate all the directory structure for the logs.

You'll need to recreate the required log files and paths as enumerated in /etc/logrotate.conf and in the files in /etc/logrotate.d, or you won't get logging anymore. You won't need to recreate the files which ended in .1, .2, .3, etc., because logrotate will create them for you.

And of course since you've deleted historical data, DirectAdmin won't give you the details that it gets from them.
