ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server. from SQUIRREL mail

Hi, please help.

Im am trying to set up a new email address through direct admin on my panel board. i succeeded in creating the new address. When i clicked on linked it directed me to the squirrel login page. I entered my detail and this message appeared :ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.

If you could help out in lamens terms would really appreciate!!

Do you own your own DirectAdmin server license? Or are you the client of a hosting company?

If the latter, then only your hosting company can help you.

If the former you should check your /var/log/mainlog file to see if you're seeing anything pertinent.
