Redirecting a domain name to a sub domain

I am having problems redirecting a domain name to a sub domain.
EG: www.domainnameonly.com
>redirect to>
www.maindomain.com/subdomain

rather than having it go to the main domain.

Please respond as soon as you can as I have been trying to figure this out ALL week!

Hey,

In the domain you want redirected, put an "index.php" file containing the following:

<?php

header("Location: http://www.other_domain.com/directory");

?>

Give this a try.

Instead of using a domain pointer try using a redirect.
Login to the account for www.domainnameonly.com and set up a redirect that has its local url path set to "/" (no quotes) and the address to redirect to: www.maindomain.com/subdomain

redirects and pointers didn't work from my control panel as I didn't seem to have much control over any sub domains, so I asked the admin to see what they could do. It has been done!

Not sure about anything specific, just incase another user comes and searches for a similar problem they know what the problem is and who to contact.
