following these:

http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=3

I have sub up.mydomain-name.com that needs to point to /domains/mydomain-name.com/public_html/forums/uploads

when I add this in the custom httpd config apache stops. I have not found any error (YET) showing why.

this is where cpanel really shines, wish DA could address this.
any ideas on how I can see why this is failing?

I think I may have figured it out, for if SUB= I was using whole name NOT just the prefix, using just the sub designation itself seems to have worked.

How can I change subdomain folder without access permission to httpd confid file??
Can anyone help

Please do not post the same question, or variations of the same question, in multiple threads. I've removed your posts and my and others' replies (which waste a lot of other people's valuable time) from four other threads, and I've closed two of those threads (a few years old) to further posting. If you're the server administrator you do have access to all the files; if you're not, then only your hosting company can help you.

I AM the hosting company, I pay the bill, I have directadmin access to all my domains,
I've done all by cPanel WHM in the past, & just recently switched to DA.
