DA server as a backup MX/Mail server for primary cPanel Serer

Hi All,

It has been a while since I was able to post ont his forum and I'm not sure if this is the correct location for this question as well. So i'll get straight to it.

I (a client) has a cPanel VPS and hosting emails (for another client ). Since the current setup is a SPOF, I want get a second server to act as a backup server. If the cpanel server goes down, email will be stored on this server and once the primary comes back online. the emails will be delviered to it.

So to put it simply, can it be done using DA?

If you are enough familiar with configuring exim/dovecot then you of course have chances to do that, but directadmin with its WEB-GUI has nothing to give you in your particular case, as it does not allow to switch exim to serve as a backup MX. So you are mostly on your own to achieve the desired. In case you have more questions feel free to ask them here.
