Hello,

I use proftpd for ftp access on my DA server. I needed to go into the log files, but it seems the log-file /var/log/proftpd/access.log was emptied during the past sunday night (at the time DA cron runs, eg. backups-cron).

Is there a way to prevent this, or to keep the log for at least 60 days (instead of 7 days), or have it truncated by max filesize for example? Reading the config file /etc/proftpd.conf didn't seem to provide such an option...

Thank you in advance.

I'm still experiencing this issue? Nobody any idea where to look to change this setting? Thanks...

It is probably done by logrotate.

Check /etc/logrotate.conf or /etc/logrotate.d

Thank you very much scsi! Now I know at least where to start looking and I can continue from there...
