DKIM selector to username

Hi all,

I have a fully working DKIM setup with DA.
It generates a x._domainKey perfectly. Also valid etc.

But I don't like the x in the selector. I know I could change this in exim.conf but I couldn't find any variable that contains the username of the domain's user.
For example; my username is "example", I would like to have "example._domainKey".

Can anyone tell me if this is possible? And if so, how can I achieve this?

Thanks in advance.

Regards, Bert

Hello Bert,

Why do you need this? Probably we would suggest a better way If we knew your motivation.

Check this https://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1189 There is no option in Directadmin to change dkim_selector in DNS to other value, so you might consider using custom POST scripts to update DNS records to fit your needs.

Because x._domainKey says nothing.
When I add my Google domainKey, I will end up with google._domainKey. This makes sense.
When it is something like the DA username, it makes more sense for users with DNS control. That's why I was wondering if this is possible.
