I am seeing the same thing.

Do you have curl with HTTP2 installed? (https://forum.directadmin.com/showthread.php?t=52590)

I removed the custom configure.curl and I was able to update curl, but now no HTTP2 on curl.

Also wen you try to do that Curl http2 again after update?

Maybe then because of some nghttp2 updates between.?

Or other SSL versions/ updates ?

You can test your curl as written here
    https://forum.directadmin.com/showth...802#post278802

Maybe it has http2 support on your box?

Curl 7.54.0 doesn't as it fails to compile when HTTP2 support is enabled. The old version had HTTP2 support.

Does it work on your box?

I mean compiling without http2 support changes as here in forum. then update, then test the newer version if it has http2 support default.
then after that testing the way the link i wrote above.

So maybe the newer CURL version has http2 support default on board without you have to change the way for older versions as in the topic here in forum.

ANd then this could be the main cause for failing the update , while two different solutions.

I guess you can disregard the above. It seems that my curl has http2 support by default without the mod in this thread:

    With this in place.

    chmod 700 custom/curl/configure.curl
    ./build curl
It fails to compile with curl 7.54.0.

If I remove custom/curl/configure.curl, then it does compile and install fine but doesn't support HTTP2.

It was found that curl 7.54.0 fails to build against OpenSSL 1.0.2 on Directadmin server with CentOS 6 and CentOS 7 which are having basic version of OpenSSL 1.0.1e installed from rpm packages:

    Code:
    openssl-1.0.1e-60.el7_3.1.x86_64
    openssl-devel-1.0.1e-60.el7_3.1.x86_64
    openssl-libs-1.0.1e-60.el7_3.1.x86_64

This is how you can fix it: you should upgrade the basic version the package to the latest available OpenSSL 1.0.1u or even newer OpenSSL 1.0.2 or OpenSSL 1.1.0.

Here are instructions on how to update it to the latest OpenSSL 1.0.1:

    Code:
    cd /usr/local/directadmin/scripts/
    wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/poralix/directadmin-utils/master/openssl/openssl.install-1.0.1-primary.sh
    chmod 755 openssl.install-1.0.1-primary.sh
    ./openssl.install-1.0.1-primary.sh
    After it

    Code:
    cd /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/
    ./build clean
    ./build update
    ./build curl

    and have fun with cURL:

    Code:
    # curl -V
    curl 7.54.0 (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu) libcurl/7.54.0 OpenSSL/1.0.2k zlib/1.2.7 nghttp2/1.20.0
Protocols: dict file ftp ftps gopher http https imap imaps pop3 pop3s rtsp smb smbs smtp smtps telnet tftp
    Features: IPv6 Largefile NTLM NTLM_WB SSL libz TLS-SRP HTTP2 UnixSockets HTTPS-proxy
    Full version: https://help.poralix.com/articles/er...-openssl-1.0.2

By the way Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and its derivatives including CentOS 7 will have OpenSSL 1.0.2 as a base version. It will allow to serve HTTP/2 traffic an easier way.

    Release version: 7.4
Expected to be released on November 2017.

    Really good news, isn't it!

I have the same problem on an old FreeBSD 8.0 64-bit box.
I don't have time to figure out an openssl update.

I remember there was a command to make custombuild stop reminding about an update. Can somebody provide please?
