Hi all,

For most of the accounts I have I can use a Let's Encryp certificate for domain, www, ftp, mail and webmail.

However when checking the website it does read the user's certificate but for some reason when trying to access mail.domain.com it reads the servers certificate.

Can anyone shed a light on why this is happening and if possible how to make sure it will try the domain.com certificate before the server certificate?

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Eelco Bosselaar

I have enabled exim_sni and dovecot_sni and I can see the files in /etc/virtual

However when I check with ssldecoder.org it is still getting the server certificate as opposed to the domain certificate. Anything else I might be missing?

Kind regards,

Eelco Bosselaar

For Dovecot or Exim?
Have you created the required certificate using Let's Encrypt?
Have you select which host to include in the mail settings under the SSL configuration page?

As far as I know the Exim feature it is still not really available.

Best regards

Also, I have just checked and that site seems to check HTTP connection, not mail.

You may want to look for another one :)

Best regards

Thanks for your extra comments SeLLeRoNe.

I have set all options as far as I know where to set them.
But as you said, most likely this is not supported yet.

And as for ssldecoder.org, you can actually specify the port number. So if you just input your mail server and choose port 465 I believe you should get correct output.

As always, correct me if I'm wrong since that happens almost daily ;)

Kind regards
