I currently have one VPS with DA and multiple IP's assigned and am trying to setup DNS.
My hosting provider offers slave DNS so you can setup your own DNS and automatically transfer zones to their DNS.
Sound good, but there are some problems with this.
My directadmin server has one dns server, for example ns.myserver.com
NS1 is now set to ns.myserver.com
NS2 is set to ns1.myprovider.com
NS3 is set to ns2.myprovider.com
This setup works, but the sub-domains (created as new domain in DA) are not transferred.
I asked my provider. They say those 'child zones' are not supported and therefor not transferred.
Are there other 'slave dns' providers that can transfer those child zones DA uses?
Or any other valid options to setup multiple DNS servers without buying a second VPS?
