Exim and Junk mail with Microsoft

It's not depends only spf dkim etc. for example outlook.com looking ip senderscore. Everything is perfect but mail goes spam for outlook.com

Don't forget I'm using 1692
Well that's in fact for seperate ip adresses. As it says:
for any domain created with an IP that is not the server IP. helo_data will only get owned IPs.
So in these cases of seperate ip's, the rDNS of those ip's should point to their helo data.
Your server ip (178.33.xx.xx) should point to the mail.bikeboxhireuk.co.uk as stated before.

As for the spfbl.net block:
This IP has been blocked by abuse or misconfiguration of the email service.
Which does not specifically mean the reason is your SPF record.
You can ask for a delisting here:
http://dnsbl.spfbl.net/en/178.33.68.71

@Develop: There were already some comments made about mail-tester.com to improve that score. :)

178.33.xx.xx isn't the server IP though

Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner
It wouldn't, as the 178.33.68.72 is shared IP, so how would me changing the rDNS to mail.bikebox... help other domains?

And I see no blacklists for 178.33.68.xx on mxtools, where are you checking these

You will solved it with guides.

Change:

vi /etc/exim.conf

interface = 123.45.89
helo_data = mail.domain.com

set rDNS 123.45.89 mail.domain.com

domain.com. A 123.45.67 (server shared ip)
mail A 123.45.89 (default)
spf txt ip 123.45.89 (default) -all // I do that /custom/dns_txt.conf

do not use blacklisted ip or ask for clear your ip from list of dnsbl.spfbl.net before all done.

Yes but I set helo data and ip for all domain like that. One ip for all > mail A 123.45.67 rDNS mail.domain.com > if ip will be a listed in blacklist. Can change ip for all.
At least I solved smtp banner warning with this way and my limited knowledge. :)

How many different ip use your clients? One shared ip or they have own ip?

On my server all clients, especially if they do not want their own ip, default all use shared ip. And for exim I set only one ip different shared ip. Send limit is 200 for all a day.
Thats all.

Well, I turned off that feature now...... and I do not get any banner warnings on mxtb now....... lets see if this does anything.

It has to be this feature..... All domains weren't going in junk until recently...... I know it's beta, but.....

I just wanted to see if I can improve the way IPs get blacklisted.... If the helo and banner uses the domain IP, there's less likely that ALL domains will be affected (unless some domains uses the same IP)....(I offer dedicated IPs to clients as a choice)

With using the server IP, it will lead to trouble for all domains.......

You watch, all server IPs will get blacklisted now :D

Well it's like Develop said, for every domain which uses it's own ip for it's mailservername, you need to have a seperate rDNS.

But Develop also says that he has the same issue when using that feature, and the feature is beta, so it might be wise to send in a ticket for support to see why it's going wrong when using that feature.

Do not ask MS and others for delisting before things are fixed. It could be that it might be automatically fixed after a couple of days, when rDNS is alright and you're not on that one blacklist anymore.

SPF passes now..... An improvement... Just need to see what MS says now...
Authentication-Results: spf=pass (sender IP is 188.165.114.180) smtp.mailfrom=bikeboxhireuk.co.uk; outlook.com; dkim=pass (signature was verified) header.d=bikeboxhireuk.co.uk;outlook.com; dmarc=bestguesspass action=none header.from=bikeboxhireuk.co.uk;Received-SPF: Pass (protection.outlook.com: domain of bikeboxhireuk.co.uk designates 188.165.114.180 as permitted sender) receiver=protection.outlook.com; client-ip=188.165.114.180; helo=server6.laws-hosting.co.uk;

I hasting to guess that there's no easy to way to add DMARC stuff to all current domains .db files?

Maybe its better way to do pool For exim

http://reqad.com/how-to-send-mail-from-multiple-ips-in-exim.html

HTML:
sub randinet {
@inet = ("x.x.x.1", "x.x.x.2", "x.x.x.3", "x.x.x.4");
return $inet[int rand($#inet+1)];
}

Then edit /etc/exim.conf and search for a line that start with “interface=”

remote_smtp:
driver = smtp
interface = ${if exists {/etc/mailips}{${lookup{$sender_address_domain}lsearch*{/etc/mailips}{$value}{}}}{}}

replace last line with

interface = "${perl{randinet}}"

I never tried this way. Just shared.!

We have reviewed your IP(s) (188.165.114.176/28 ) and determined that messages are being filtered (i.e. sent to the Junk folder) based on the recommendations of the SmartScreen® Filter.

Here are some specific recommendations for you to consider:

Brand your mail < I have no control over this

Follow content and formatting best practices < I have no control over this

Highlight Opt In < check

Ensure your email lists are up to date < I have no control over this

Join the Junk Mail Reporting Program (JMRP) < check

Join the Smart Network Data Services program (SNDS) < check

Apply for the Sender Score Certified Mail program < it costs :confused:

So, as my server IPs are being filtered, not sure how I can solve this - I was sending from the domain IP before today, and even they were getting junked.

Times like this, I ask myself, what's the point.

There you go. Read back. That's exactly the answer that I got. The nonsense about the SmartScreen filter. :)

Reply to their answer again, state that it is odd because you comply to the rules, are member of SNDS and JMRP and there were no complaints, which should have occured when there were issues. There is no reason for hotmail users to sanction mail from your system as spam, since you comply to the rules.
Also state that it's odd that it's so many ip's at the same time and since you're complying to all rules, regulates and recommendations mentioned by MS, this block is not very fair.

That's it. After that, keep your thumbs up, they either ignore you or help you. I did not get a reply but my ip's were suddenly all able to send mail again.

As for the "brand your mail" You do have control over this, but Exim does it for you:
Ensure mails are cleanly formatted and clearly identifiable as originating from your service.
Which is already the case, because this info is always present in your mail headers.
So don't worry about that one.

I'm having issues in my personal life at the moment, so I do apologise if i come over all arrogant. Getting tickets from clients asking why their emails are going to outlook/hotmail junk folders is a kick in the teeth.

I do appreciate the help.
