So, recently a client came to me to say they couldn't update Wordpress (via self updater) or install/update plugins/etc.

They keep getting
Downloading update from <usual url>
Unpacking the update…
Could not copy file.: wordpress/wp-includes/ID3/module.audio-video.matroska.php
Installation Failed

Googling states it is related to permissions, but all files are owned by user:user - 755 directories, 644 files. Basically, correct.

I'm kind of confused, as it is just this account that's doing this.

Anyone else seeing this?

I occasionally encounter some accounts that can't seem to self-update.
Sometimes it's because the account is almost at it's data-limit and the update will temporarily put it over, thereby blocking further execution of the update-script.
On some other occasions I simply can't see why the update fails. I do recall these are 'older' accounts who have been created some years ago.
I *think* something is not quite right with those accounts, but I never looked into it as of yet.

Well, it's past 12.30am, and DA gave me the answer....... Over quota.....

I feel dumb!
