mysql problem: passwords rootpass daadminpass

Hello.
I do not know where must post this question.
I post this question in MYSQL section of this forum and manager delete it.

in this help: https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=45

what meaning:
Desired root password: rootpass

Desired da_admin password: daadminpass

Is (rootpass = mysql root password) or (rootpass = linux root password) ?

Thanks

Desired root password: rootpass
That means that you have to fill in there the root password you want to use in the future (desired rood pass) and the same for the da_admin password.
Once filled in,the rest of the help page will replace them with the one you entered which makes using the commands easier.

Is (rootpass = mysql root password) or (rootpass = linux root password) ?
The help section you point to is to reset mysql passwords sho it's mysql root password.
But you only have to use that if you have issues or want to change both.

However, check /usr/local/directadmin/scripts/setup.txt normally the current root password and da_admin password is present in there, maybe you can use them if you don't know them. If they work then you don't need to reset the passwords.

Thanks.
It is very good if on that help write rootpass = Mysql root password that different from Linux root password.

It speeks for itself because it's the help section to change the mysql rood and admin pass, so in fact it's logic that you should enter the desired mysql root pas then.

But feel free to send in a feature request to adjust it.
