Weird Apache trouble-still shuts down

If apache regularly shuts down for you please respond

I just noticed it's happening on my servers (but they don't get down... it's just a restart)... they run FreeBSD 6 or 7, apache 1.3 or 2
is it related to log rotation, because it happens around midnight

for example:

Aug 24 00:00:00 server08 newsyslog[12886]: logfile turned over
[Sun Aug 24 00:00:04 2008] [notice] SIGHUP received. Attempting to restart

Aug 24 00:00:02 server11 newsyslog[98926]: logfile turned over
[Sun Aug 24 00:00:05 2008] [notice] SIGHUP received. Attempting to restart

is it expected because the log rotation?
