I found out that one of the character I wanted to use for a password was not accepted, but the error message did not tell me which one and I could not find a list of accepted characters in the doc.

Could some info be included in both areas?

Hello,

at the momment, valid password characters are

! to ~ (see http://www.asciitable.com) with space, /, \ and : not being allowed. Some of these characters could be considered valid, so if you want some of them to be allowed, just let me know.

Hello,

Thanks for the info.
The characters I miss would be those used in french, german, etc.

éàüö, etc.

Thank you.

Just a quick note. I remember Psoft disabling those because of character encoding issues. Could this also be a problem in DA.

A user would input : oûlùtè and when trying to log in it would fail because it wouldn't match what's stored in the DB.

Could have been an issue with the character set used by Postgresql, but I don't have all the details.

Hello,

Alright, we'll keep them for the time being and remove them if any problems arise.
