RaidX
OK here what I have done:
I have RocketRadi 2310
RaidSet1 is stripe Raid0 = 2x250GB = 500 GB disk
RaidSet2 is stripe Raid0 = 2x250GB = 500 GB disk
# Device Mountpoint FStype Options Dump Pass#
/dev/da0s1b none swap sw 0 0
/dev/da1s1b none swap sw 0 0
/dev/da0s1a / ufs rw,userquota,groupquota 1 1
/dev/da1s1d /backup ufs rw 2 2
/dev/acd0 /cdrom cd9660 ro,noauto 0 0
proc /proc procfs rw 0 0
now I like to dump / to /backup every Sunday? Not shore what to use, have been reading about changing disk…:
dump 0af - / | restore xf -
is that good? Read on >>>>
RaidX
In the bios setup I can change active RaidSet!
So I like /backup to become / and
/ become /backup
So if RaidSet1 Fails I only have to change raid bios to make RaidSet2 active!
Can I do This?
They say You do so when You change disk?
Well that’s what I am doing! I just don’t take them out of computer!
Think I have to change something in bootmanager / loader…???
