I am in the process of developing a skin for DA but was having some difficulties. I don't have a live version of DA to play about with - only a reseller account that I've purchased to use as a sandbox.
Is the only way of updating the skin, through the control panel itself? I cannot just use the ftp program to rewrite a few files? Being a mere designer, I'm sure I could get my head around this packaging and uploading business, but I'd much rather use FTP. Especially just to make minor changes (which I'm sure all designers will sympathise with)
The second question i had was regarding images... as you will see at the end of this post, I've linked to the skin - there is quite a few images used - would I need to edit the configuration files for each seperate image or can I just use plain html coding?
By the way I won't leave on a teasing note - here is the skin:

Edit:
Changes since that upload include-
* The content pane now extends with the rest of the control panel
* Changed the user option bar so it's metallic and doesn't look so dull
