Hi,

I cosider buying directadmin but I require a surtain feature and I'm not sure if directadmin support this. In PLESK this feature is called "webuser".

I'd like to create a user inside a domain like: www.demo.com/username or ~username.

The user should get FTP access to his /username webspace.

Thank you in advance for the reply!

Regards,
Robert

Hello,

DirectAdmin has the same basic thing, but they're seperated for more control. You can have domain.com/user, an email [email protected], ftp of [email protected], and even a subdomain of user.domain.com. The difference is that each has to be created one at a time, depending on what you want to give that User.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply!
Can we use any creation utilities for this like in plesk?

Robert

I'm not as farmiliar with the inner workings of plesk, so I couldn't say for sure. We do have a full API set of commands if you are knowledgeable in php, to create your own tool that interfaces with DA to do whatever you want.

John, am I missing something?

A Plesk webuser has his own password and his own webspace. Can DA do that? If so, I've never found it :) .

Or are you thinking of a combination of example.com/user and an ftp account for that directory?
