SquirrelMail and Outlook Issue

Since SquirrelMail became available with DirectAdmin, our clients are indicating that if they have stored email on the server and read their email with SquirrelMail the next time they use Microsoft Outlook to check their email, all of the stored message come down again. SquirrelMail is resetting a flag or something on Exim messages.

Any ideas on how to solve this issue?

Unless you delete a message in squirrelmail it will, or should leave messages in your email folders which outlook uses. The difference is outlook downloads and removes from the file, squirrelmail downloads and leaves them in the file unless you delete the email in SM.

Are they using IMAP on Outlook or POP3. If they are using POP3 it will download all the messages, even if looked at with an IMAP client. Squirrelmail is an IMAP client.
UebiMiau is a POP3 client, so it will download the message to it's own directory and mark it read with a POP3 mechanism. That is why you are seeing that.

Also Exim is only for sending messages not reading them. Reading messages use either POP3 or IMAP.
