I have just put Exim release 4.63 on the primary ftp site:

This release fixes some bugs and adds some new features. The manual has been brought up-to-date with all the changes since 4.62.

As usual, all changes are in the doc/ChangeLog file. See also the README.UPDATING file for changes that might impact on some installations.

The primary ftp server is in Cambridge, England. There is a list of mirrors in:

The distribution files are signed with Philip Hazel's GPG key, which is available on the ftp site and on a number of keyservers. The signature files are in the same directory as the tarbundles. The MD5 hash codes for the distribution files are:

The distribution contains an ASCII copy of the 4.63 manual and other documents.

how to update with src ?
or do you have rpm for fc3 ?

I think: (FC3)

wget http://......4.63.src.rpm (John can place the files)
rpm -ivh da_exim-4.63.src.rpm
cd /usr/src/redhat/SPECS
rpmbuild -bb exim.spec
cd /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386
rpm -Uvh --force --nodeps da_exim-4.63.i386.rpm
 
Anyone know where John (DA) gets the SRC RPM's? Or does he make them? As they are not yet posted.

when i try to do :

rpm -Uvh --force --nodeps da_exim-4.63.i386.rpm

it is giving me an error

i am using fc4

i just tried to update exim on FC4, using the method of @how@ in de how-to forum... but this failed:

You need to install rpm-build and possibly the rpm-devel.

that still not working he can find the rpm

any other options?

i found a `exim-4.63.tar.gz how do i install exim-4.63.tar.gz ??

Did the rbmbuild part fail when running the update script? That would be the only reason I can think of that it wouldn't have been created.
