Hi,

I would like to know also, if i can upgrade/update my system with apt-get for security issues/fixes.

While the systeem contains DA.

Will this have effect on DA?
Or does DA only work with there packages?
(do they keep those daytime uptodate?)

Thanks in advance.

OK, is it enough if i just put on hold for example apache and all other services posted above?

aptitude hold apache
aptitude hold php

and so on.. This will not upgrade any of this programs and/or modules, addons that are used by DA while i still want to use debians update tool?

Don't really want to override something ;)

There's should really be a sticky for something like this..

I think you don't even have to put these on hold as they weren't installed from apt-get so they won't be updated either..

All the software that DA uses is being compiled on installation (confirm?).

So you can safely keep your system up2date with apt-get.
