How to use the exec() function

i need to use the exec() function on my website, but the function isn't installed yet

How can i install it ?

you could remove it from the "disable_functions" line in your php.ini

Well, the exact question was if I can allow only one user to use the funtion exec() , with my normal setup (not suphp)

No, it must be installed server-wide (loaded in php.ini file).
