subdomain question

Is it possible to have a domain on one host and have a subdomain of that domain hosted on another server?

I was thinking at original server dns set A record of subdomain "test" with ip of second server, then on second server set up test.domain.com. Doesn't seem to be working yet. Any thoughts?

that should be working though..

If you enable the option Multiserver (assuming you have 2 DA servers) it should not be any problem to create a subdomain on server 2 when the maindomain is on server 1 (or vv).

It's not necessary to use the multiserver option for DNS for this to work.

What you need to do is create in the zonefile for the main domain NS records for the subdomain, pointing to the two nameservers for the domains on the second server.
