I would like to know how works the licence :

I have a temporaly dedicated server ( ovh.net ) and i want to know if i change to another server: is my licence lost or can i use it on my new server ?

How does the directadmin's install work ?

if i choose a monthly licence , will i have to reinstall da when i buy a life time licence ?

regards.

If you are switching servers/datacentres you can keep your license, but you have to e-mail us with the license ID# and the new IP address so we can update the system on this end.

The install is script-based -- you just run setup.sh from the shell and it does the rest. Either you can do it, or we can do it for you.

If you switch over to a lifetime licenses, you do NOT have to reinstall. Just make the payment and we will handle everything on this end.

Thanks!

thanks for your fast answer !!!

i have already this configuration ( pre installed by ovh.net ) :

OS : redhat 7.2
web server : apache
dns server : bind
ftp server : ncftpd
smtp server : qmail
pop3 server : vpopmail
imap server : courier-imap
mailing list server : EZMLM
web mail : sqwebmail
language : php / perl / python / C
Database : mysql
stats : webalizer
server administration : telnet / ssh / webmin

do you think we should be able to install it by ourself ?

else,

how much do you take for install it on this server ?

You would need to remove / disable some of your software such as ncftpd, qmail, vpopmail, courier-imap, squirrelmail (should be ok if its standard in /var/www/html/ - probably better off removing anyway) webmin i would also advise you remove (not sure how well it goes with DA configs etc)

The install guide can be found: http://www.directadmin.com/installguide.html if you are confortable with command line, installing software etc you should have no problems. if you are purchasing standard licenses (not an internal account) the cost covers installation.
