I need to set a NIC in a FreeBSD 6.2 server to use 1000M full duplex rather than autonegotiate, but I have not been able to find where to set this.
I was looking at rc.conf options, but none seem to state that the NIC (bge0 in this case) can be specified for any connection settings. I think the autonegotiation is a problem with the passthrough switch on an HP C class chassis that only uses 1000M.
Windows server in this chassis, no problem... similar FreeBSD builds on 1000M switches no problem... FreeBSD on this blade chassis combined with HP does not support or even consider helping with FreeBSD, gets no carrier in ifconfig.
