Can't link right to my images

When I uploaded pictures it said saved "as /home/sh4444/domains/freecashonline4u.com/public_html/pics/sleep6cats.bmp.
I tried this and many other versions, like <img src="/home/sh4444/domains/freecashonline4u.com/public_html/pics/sleep6cats.bmp"

They just don't show up so I'm doing something wrong.
I created a file under public_html called pics and uploaded images to pics folder.
What am I doing wrong?

Yes you are. You want the url of the image not the path.
