Hello,

I'm completely new on this so please be patient and if possible explain with details.

I just signed for webhosting for a domain I had for some time now. When signing for webhosting they asked me the name of the domain. I gave it to them...

1) I went to the place where I registered my domain and transfer DNS.

2) I went to File manager and uploaded some pictures:
FileManager /domains/mydomain.net/public_html/images

HOW DO I SEE THESE PICTURES FROM THE PUBLIC INTERNET?
Is there a direct link??

Thank you!
J

Thanks... still waiting on DNS resolution.

What do I use after my ~name to see the pictures stored here: /domains/mydomain.net/public_html/images

The only way I have to see them right now is signing in, under a secure URL. I would like to post the link for X person to see them.

\~name\?

thanks!

/~name/images/

another solution is to open c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (or c:\windows\hosts for win95/98/me) and add this line:
1.2.3.4 www.my_domain.com
where 1.2.3.4 is your new ip, and www.my_domain.com is your domain. this way your computer will use new ip for that domain instead of old one. and don't forget to remove that line once new ip propagated.

Thank you!

THANKS FOR THE HELP!

Good idea using hosts from Windows. I just used it to avoid
pop-ups by directing all unwanted DNS's to 127.0.0.1. :)

Thanks again!

Mr. J
