Php update from 4.4.7 to 5.2.x

Hello,
First of all I would like say "Hello" to everybody - it's my first post here.
I have basic knowledge about administration but it's only basic so I would like to ask You some issues connected with maintaining my server.

I have apache 2.0.x and PHP 4.4.7 with eaccelerator. I would like to upgrade it to 5.2.x version.
Could You give me some hint's how to manage it? I'm running on debian 3.1 system.

ps. is it worth to have 2 paralel versions of php? 4.4.x and 5.2.x?

After the upgrade you will need to reinstall eAccelerator.

small problem is that there are differences between description and values in my httpd.conf file

I think I will manage it, but I have to it little bit later because now there is over 200 users online and they would kill me after reset in the middle of day

Is in Apache 1.3.x the line:
LoadModule php4_module modules/libphp4.so

In apache_2.0.x http.conf
LoadModule php4_module /usr/lib/apache/libphp4.so

And is in apache 2.0.x the following line missing?
AddModule mod_php4.c

No, you don't need "AddModule" line in Apache 2.0 And yes, the line in 1.3 is the same as 2.0.
