Hey Guys,

One of my clients has a problem with IMAP. He is unable to create subfolders..

I've readed some topic about this, but I cannot find a solution or any reason for this.

I've put a screenshot on http://stuff.servicez.org/pics/subfolders.jpg

Does anybody know how to use the subfolders?

Thanks!

Hello,

Actually, you *can* make subfolder (I figured it out a while back), but it's not as easy as point and click. You have to create the actual directory manually, *then* you can create the subfolder.

1) create the directory (unfortunately, root is required due to the way uw-imap is setup).
cd ~username/imap/domain.com/user/mail
mkdir foldername

2) (I've tested it in squirrelmail)
Login to SquirrelMail under that account
Folders
Then at the bottom, you need to "subscribe" to the new directory.
At the top of the folders page, you should now be able to use the "Create Folder" function, just select "as a subfolder of" "foldername", then click Create.
