File Permissions

I am trying to upload a folder to my site. I get a permission denied message.

I tried to create the directory from Direct Admin and I get the following:

An error occured while attempting to create the directory

Parent directory does not allow write, or one of the directories didn't allow search (execution) permission



All files and directories are owned by the username I am using.
Does anyone know what might be wrong?

Nevermind, I'm not thinking today. The permissions were at 555
