Could someone say me the correct procedure to update apache in security?

I use Debian 4, apache 1.3.37, PHP 5.2.3, Mysql 5.0.41...

Thanks

Only reason I linked my link was because your link crashed my apache upgrade ;)

John from DA recommended using the old method and that worked.

GXX, in that link there are 2 ways to upgrade apache.

*** For Apache 2.2 and php 5.x, we have a new custombuild script available:
http://files.directadmin.com/services/custombuild/1.1. It will install both apache 2.2 and php 5 automatically for you. It also contains code for installing mysql 5. The custombuild script is considerd the more recent way to install apache 2, php 5 and mysql 5. The rest of the guide will still work, but it's more time consuming.

To convert apache 1.3 to apache 2.0, use this guide:
directadmin.com/features.php?id=441

Thanks to GXX and smtalk, i've read the two solutions...

1. But definitely what is the best way for debian, with less risk of errors, custombuild or customapache?

2. After update with first or second method, i need to make something for mysql return working? some change, update or build?

Thanks for help, and sorry for my questions, but is the first time that i update apache, and i don't want any surprises...
