There seem to be no mysql 5.1 packages

Sorry for my too short post, i'm quite aware that they can be downloaded from dev.mysql.com. The reason i'm posting it here is because the custombuild script offers it as an option, but doesn't know how to download it, which in my eyes is a bugged feature.

Ok.

Well that is up to directadmin to fix. Hopefully they will read the post and put the right files where they need to be.

I noticed they were missing for 32bit systems as well, has anyone been able to use this "feature" successfully?

I know it's up to directadmin to fix it, i just wondered how such a feature would be implemented and tested without the files being there...

I dont think they are supporting 5.1 mysql yet. This is why the files are missing.
