I'm currently a newbie setting up my server. Hopefully I can gain some help from many of you. I have setup my red hat 9 hard drive partioning as follows. Will it work for the DA install? If not, would you mind showing me the way to force my partioning to remain as I wanted without system hangs, fallout, freeze or wont boot.

/dev/hda (main hard drive)(system boot from this hd first)
hda1 start 1 end 13 102mb (boot)
hda2 start 14 end 19929 156226mb (free space)

/dev/hdb (secondary hd)(backup hd)
hdb1 start 1 end 24548 192560mb (ext3)
ndb2 start 24549 end 24792 1914mb (linux-swap)

Will this partioning work for DA?

Many Thanks in advance

well.... the basic partioning setup for DA is:

/ (whole drive apart from....)
/boot (100mb)
/dev/shm (500 - 1000mb usually)

Thats a very basic setup, you can however, add extras for /home / tmp etc...

type df -h to see if you have these mounted already :)
