Hey Everyone,

I'm using spamblocker 2.0. Would upgrading to 2.1.1 block these quicker/better? How are others dealing with this, just another let it go since they're not getting through?

It looks like they're getting rejected because the email account/destination doesn't exist. Is there a way to just hang-up immediately/quicker?

Just watch days and days of some jackarse trying to spam who is using
differst hosts so there is no way to stop it.

SpamBlocker 2.0 is ancient; I recommend upgrading all the way to the 3.1-beta.

But that's me :).

Unless I'm confused, emails with an empty sender are sent by Mailer-Daemon and are required to be accepted.

Any comments from others on this?

Yeah, we get such a little amount of spam that it doesn't get much attention. I was almost embarassed to type the version number but in reading the forum I knew I had to lol. I will find the instructions to upgrade to 3.1-beta!

It's funny, I can grep F=<> in the log and 4,000 attempts over a few days in short bursts with an empty sender. The unique, changing destination addresses makes it easy to see it's from the same spammer.

It's not hurting the server, just making me growl. I know, ignore them.

It's even more funny that they have yet to try postmaster, abuse, webmaster which all are real accounts to this domain! Instead it's

_ely{[email protected]

Why even bother. After 4 days of trying, my server is not an open relay!
