imapd won't start on boot

I wrote you a detailed message but just close the tab in by browser so I will make this short:

imapd won't start on boot. You can start it manually and it will run. I check inetd.config the imapd line is added. I removed and reinstalled via the ./imapd.sh script.

I checked all the logs and I don't see anything in reference to the problem. Is anyone else having this problem, and would it be better to just start it with a script the in the rc.d?

Any advise would be great.

Just to clarify that the imapd program doesn't run as a daemon, it's loaded by inted for each request. Also, the imapd.sh script checks to see if the binary is already installed. If there is another version in it's spot, it won't be installed.. so try deleting /usr/sbin/imapd and then run imapd.sh again. Also double check that inetd is actually running to accept the connection.

I think I know what the problem was, I have the inetd tcp 113 blocked by the firewall.
