What MD5 Checksum is listed in the versions.txt file (apache2.2:2.2.8)? It might be a nice addition to the custombuild script if it rebuilt the versions file after 2 checksum failures of a file unless stated otherwise in the options.

it's not the checksum error, first error is "Fileserver is down, using the backup file server.." the fileserver is not down but custombuild somehow think it is down, second error is "/usr/bin/md5sum: httpd-2.2.8.tar.gz: No such file or directory" looks like checking the wrong directory.

ah. I see what you mean. Missed those lines entirely for some reason.

It shouldn't have any problems as it appears the file was saved. Just to knock out one odd possibility, could you check /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild for the "httpd-2.2.8.tar.gz" file? According to custombuild, it saved it there, but the md5sum tool apparently disagrees. If it's not there, then it may just be a matter of wget'ing it into that directory as the checksum should be the same whether custombuild is what gets it or not. Otherwise, you're right and it's checking in the wrong directory for some weird reason.

the files have no problem, the bug is with custombuild.
if you don't watch the console or have fast download speed during build you won't find this problem because custombuild will eventually give up redownloading httpd after 6 times and use the "bad" md5 checksum file.
it's just waste of time for custombuild to download httpd for 6 times if you have slow download speed like my server.

Yep. Just happened to me too. I am not sure if it's my server's download speed or DA server's upload speed, but currently it is downloading at 56K modem speed. (The speed shown by wget is inaccurate.)

I guess I have to wait for this to happen six more times according to the original poster...

Damn.

I have same problem, http download 3 times until custombuild giveup and continue.

The file was download successful and md5 in version.txt is correct.
but it is the bug in custombuild code that checksum not pass and try download it again until giveup

I check code in build file but cound not found any error. :(

Hello,

Thanks for the report. We've gotten a few random reports of this so we'll check it over. Our build systems are not reproducing it (that I can see), so if you'd like to send us your root login info, we'd be able to check your system.

John
