Hi,

For a customer, who uses DirectAdmin on one of his servers, I'm looking into a problem he's having.

He's added a domain (saap.nl), with saapadmin as domainowner: [root@dutch-hosting exim]# grep saap /etc/virtual/domain*
/etc/virtual/domainowners:saap.nl: saapadmin
/etc/virtual/domainowners:jacobineenwerner.com: saap

A mail sent to [email protected] results in an error; an example is below. Mail sent to another account (werner@) is delivered properly.

The corresponding lines in /var/log/exim/mainlog are:

2004-04-20 21:38:01 1BG14D-0006F5-5n <= [email protected]
H=(ts2-085.qualion.nl) [217.71.122.85] P=esmtp S=1710

P=local S=2502
2004-04-20 21:38:01 1BG14D-0006F5-5n Completed
2004-04-20 21:38:01 1BG14D-0006F8-6z => [email protected] R=lookuphost
T=remote_smtp H=server.qualion.nl [217.71.122.86]
2004-04-20 21:38:01 1BG14D-0006F8-6z Completed

We've tried fiddling with the server's hostname, as this was an issue
before. Changing it from dutch-hosting.nl to server21.dutch-hosting.nl
didn't help, adding server21.dutch-hosting.nl to /etc/virtual/domains
didn't help either.

I'm stuck; I'm no big Exim-guru, so I don't know where to look further.
A post describing a similar problem (but with a different error
message) on the forum didn't bring salvation...

Hope you can help us!

Best regards,

Max

Hello,

I believe I've sent you an email for this yesterday, but to answer this thread, it looks like the domain isn't in the /etc/virtual/domains file.

User Panel -> domain.com -> Email -> MX Records -> make sure "Local MailServer" is checked off.

John
