We are using formmail to send e-mail via some web sites.

Some client forward their e-mail (e.g. [email protected]) to the one given by their ISP (ex. [email protected])

The problem is that we get this error on our server :

username@localhost: Unrouteable address

So our client does not receive their form's results.

I tried to set a resolvable hostname (e.g. server.domain.com) but we got the same error.

Any ideas ?

Thank's

Is "username@localhost" exactly what you get, or have you changed something in an even to hide your, or your user's, identity?

"username@localhost" should never be tried as an address, whether or not there's a forward present.

If you're truly getting "username@localhost" then your script is probably misconfigured.

If you're not getting "username@localhost", but something else, then you need to tell us what the email is addressed to and what error you're getting, or it's impossible for us to see what's going wrong.

I understand your unwillingness to put real user email addresses on the forum, so you may want to change the real domain name to example.com, but otherwise we need to see it as it is.
