excluding ip in awstats?

I know I, as the server admin, can go into a user account and set the awstats.conf file to exclude their ip for stats purposes, but is there a way that I can set this up so that the client can do it themselves. As it is the /awstats/.data folder is restricted to them and I have a client with 300 accounts and multiple domains in each account that he needs ips added to and this is a daunting proposition for me, but if his clients could access it themselves, it's a lot less trouble.
